A: arrivalguides.com offer travel guides in the local language of your choice. The guides are distributed in PDF format for easy downloading before traveling. All guides are offered free of charge. Read more about us here.
Q: The guides take a long time to download?
A: Our guides are optimized for the web and offered in PDF format. The average file size is 1,5 megabytes. If you are on a very slow connection it may take a few minutes to download otherwise the guides should download relatively fast.
Q: I can’t open the guide that I’ve downloaded?
A: Our guides are offered in PDF format. To be able to view and print PDF files you need Adobe Acrobat Reader. Please use the most recent version of Acrobat Reader. You can download the program for free here.
Q: How do I print the guides?
A: In Adobe Acrobat Reader, go to File -> Print. Depending on your printer you may want to choose to print the guide in black and white or without images.
Q: What are city, beach resort and ski resort?
A: We sort our guides according to these three categories. City is city destinations. Beach is destinations which offer good beaches and beach life. Ski Resorts offer good skiing and snowy mountains.
Q: Why don’t you have this destination?
A: Our selection includes many different destinations. We are constantly adding new and exciting destinations to our catalog. Check in regularly to update yourself on newly added content.
Q: Why don’t you have this destination in my language?
A: We currently offer guides in up to 7 languages. We work continuously to translate guides to more languages. Check in regularly to update yourself on newly added content.
Q: Why don’t you have a search function?
A: Our website is constantly under construction. We are currently working on an advanced search feature together with lots of other useful features that will be added in the near future. Check in regularly to update yourself on newly added content.
Q: I’ve found some errors in a guide, don’t you guys do spell checks?
A: We check our material for mistakes and spelling errors continually. Although, given the amount of guides we offer, a few minor errors are bound to slip us by.
