The Zeppelin Museum

A must-see for all aviation fans, the Zeppelin museum boasts the world’s largest selection of airships, including full-scale reconstruction of parts of the famous Hindenburg Zeppelin.

Zeppelin Well, Monument

Friedrichhafen’s Zeppelin Well was specially rebuilt in 2000 based on the original model of 1909, which had been destroyed in the Second World War. Close by lies the Zeppelin Monument, which commemorates Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin.

The Castle Church Of Friedrichshafen

The 55-metre high castle, made out of sandstone, is the town’s landmark. Built between 1695-1701, it is one of the best-known baroque-style buildings in the region. Call in advance to book a guided tour.

The Castle Of Friedrichshafen

Originally built in 1654 as a monastery for the Benedictines of Weingarten, the castle today serves as the residence of Friedrich, Duke of Wuerttemberg.

Lake Constance Trail (bodenseepfad)

Walk along the Lake Constance trail to admire the magnificent animal and plant-life of this region. The nature conservation centre (Naturschutzzentrum) of nearby town Eriskirch organises exhibitions and free tours.
