Sarajevo - Essential Information
Airport
The international airport lies 12 km from central Sarajevo, and the only way to get to and from the airport is by pre-arranged hotel bus or taxi. The taxi stand is located near Terminal B. Journey time is approximately 20 minutes.
Prices are set at the following rates: 2 KM standing charge and 1 KM per km. Night tariff from 22:00 - 05:00 +30 percent per km and a 2 KM charge for each piece of luggage.
Public Transport
The Sarajevo tram system is an excellent way of getting around town. Trams run along the main East-West Rd (Marsala Tita) and circle the Old Town. The tram system also runs as far out as the suburb of Ilidza. A singel ticket from the kiosk costs 1.60 KM (1.80 from driver) and a day pass costs 5.30 KM and is valid on all trams and buses (except the 31e).
The 31e is the most efficient service and runs throughout the city every half hour until midnight.
